Welcome to Quantum Sports. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of any products from our online storefront. By placing an order or browsing our site, you agree to be bound by these terms, which operate in accordance with New Zealand law.

1. About Us & Scope of Service

Quantum Sports is an online retailer based in Auckland, New Zealand. We specialise in tennis ball cricket bats, cricket equipment, white playing apparel, and training accessories. We serve retail customers across New Zealand. We do not operate a physical storefront for public walk-ins, and all orders are dispatched directly via courier.

2. Product Information & Usage Guidelines

We make every effort to display product descriptions, sizing, and images accurately. Because many of our bats and wooden products are crafted from natural timber, slight variations in grain pattern, color, and weight are normal.

Specific Notice: Tennis Ball Cricket Bats

  • Intended Use: All tennis ball cricket bats sold by Quantum Sports are strictly designed and engineered for use with standard tennis balls, heavy rubber tennis balls, or tape balls.
  • Misuse Exclusions: These bats are not designed or rated for use with hard leather cricket balls. Using leather balls on a tennis ball cricket bat will cause structural failure and strictly voids all warranties, guarantees, and return claims.

3. Pricing & Payments

  • Currency & Tax: All prices on our website are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are inclusive of 15% Goods and Services Tax (GST).
  • Payment Processing: Orders must be paid in full at checkout via our secure third-party payment gateways.
  • Price & Inventory Errors: We reserve the right to cancel and fully refund any order in the event of a technical glitch, inventory discrepancy, or typographical error resulting in an incorrect price or out-of-stock listing.

4. Shipping & Delivery (NZ Post)

  • Carrier: All standard deliveries within New Zealand are fulfilled using NZ Post.
  • Dispatch & Lead Times: We aim to dispatch in-stock orders within 1–2 business days. Estimated delivery times range from 1–3 business days for main centers, with rural addresses (RD) taking an additional 2–3 business days.
  • Risk & Title: Title (ownership) passes to you upon full payment. Risk of loss or damage transfers upon successful delivery by NZ Post to your specified address. If you request “Authority to Leave” (ATL) without a signature, you assume full responsibility for the package once delivered.

5. Returns, Refunds & Consumer Rights

Our return policies strictly respect your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA).

A. Faulty or Damaged Goods (CGA)

If a product arrives damaged, has a manufacturing defect, or fails to meet CGA standards of acceptable quality:

  1. Contact us at orders@quantumsports.co.nz as soon as possible with your order number and photos of the issue.
  2. If the fault is major, you are entitled to a full refund or replacement. For minor faults, we reserve the right to repair or replace the item.
  3. Quantum Sports will cover return shipping costs for valid fault or damage claims.

B. Change of Mind / Size Exchange

If you wish to return an item because you ordered the wrong size or changed your mind:

  • You must contact us within 14 days of delivery.
  • The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and with all tags attached.
  • Hygiene-sensitive items (e.g., abdo guards/boxes, undergarments, socks) cannot be returned unless faulty.
  • Return Shipping: You are responsible for all return postage costs for change-of-mind or sizing returns.

6. Product Warranties & Limitations

  • Manufacturer warranties cover structural defects in materials and craftsmanship under normal, intended use.
  • Wear and Tear: Cricket equipment is subjected to natural stress during play. Damage resulting from normal wear and tear, edge/toe strikes, moisture exposure, or improper maintenance is not covered by warranty.

7. Intellectual Property & Website Use

All content on quantumsports.co.nz including logos, product descriptions, website text, and images—is the property of Quantum Sports. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content without our express written permission.

8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any legal disputes arising out of your purchase or use of this website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
